| Description | Some adapter cards which are designed to be installed in an IBM PC, PC/XT, PC/AT, or compatible computer require an Interrupt Request (IRQ) line. These cards usually give the user a narrow selection of IRQ lines and the accompanying documentation gives little advice on which IRQ line to use.
