NetWare Asynchronous Remote Router
Report Error and General Enquiry
9/9/91
Thru put will depend greatly on line conditions and modem type.
The Async Router supports a maximum of 2400bps from the comm ports.
Greater thru put may be gained by using a WNIM+ adapter.
If you get WNIM initialization failure on start up verify that the NACSLOAD.BIN file is in the same directory as the program, ROUTER.EXE or BRIDGE.EXE.
The WNIM adapter must be the last LAN adapter configured in the router.
Invalid ID strings may be caused by noisy lines, or modems not returning true Hayes result codes.
The ID string field may contain undisplayed characters. To be sure, hit the Delete key an extra time.
If you receive the error "LAN F: DIED"; it means that your connection has been broken.
For version 1.2 all LAN address MUST be unique.
Currently there are no NLM's for the ASYNC Router.
The most current communication port drivers are available as PTF255.ZIP in NOVA Library 9.
